Inclusive by Design - Transforming Customer and Employment Experiences Across All Sectors
Seats at the Table is a UK-based training and consultancy practice specialising in neuroinclusive design. Through engaging training and strategic consultancy, we support organisations across all sectors to create environments and cultures of true belonging - because everyone deserves a seat at the table.
Whilst we often support businesses in hospitality, retail, heritage, theatre, beauty and entertainment, we work with any sector. From independent cafés to national visitor attractions and corporate venues, our mission is simple: make every customer and every colleague feel genuinely welcome.
At Seats at the Table, we believe everyone deserves access to life-enriching experiences. Whether it’s starting a new job, dining out, exploring new places, shopping, or enjoying live entertainment, no one should be excluded. We exist to make the world more welcoming and accessible for people who feel and think differently.
We help businesses create truly inclusive environments by identifying and reducing cognitive, sensory and emotional barriers, ensuring customers and employees of all thinking styles feel valued, respected and at ease. From front-of-house to back-office, we support teams to design, communicate and work inclusively - because the most welcoming experiences begin behind the scenes.
We empower businesses with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to become truly inclusive, ensuring that every customer and/or colleague can engage with confidence and ease. By removing hidden barriers, we help create spaces and experiences where everyone feels welcome, valued, and able to participate fully.
Traditional accessibility often focuses on physical barriers, but true inclusivity goes far beyond that. We specialise in neuroinclusive universal design, helping businesses design environments, services, and experiences that work for everyone, whether they are neurodivergent, managing anxiety, or simply unfamiliar with a space.
We also recognise that every business is different, with unique resources, priorities, and time constraints. That’s why our approach is flexible and tailored, ensuring that inclusivity is achievable at a pace that works for you. Whether you need quick wins, long-term strategy, or incremental improvements, we adapt our solutions to fit your business needs.
Through practical solutions and expert guidance, we ensure businesses don’t just meet legal requirements but actively create welcoming, inclusive experiences that drive customer engagement, loyalty, and business growth.
1 in 4 people in the UK (24% of the population) live with a disability, yet many businesses unintentionally exclude them.
10 million people in the UK have hidden disabilities, making up 80% of all disabled individuals. Many require clear communication, sensory-friendly environments, or flexible options to fully access businesses.
The Purple Pound- the spending power of disabled people and their families, is worth £446 billion annually. Businesses that fail to prioritise inclusion miss out on a huge market of loyal, engaged customers.
3 out of 4 disabled customers (75%) and their families have walked away from businesses due to poor accessibility. That’s lost income, lost repeat business, and reputational damage.
Customer Retention Impact: Studies show that 2 out of 10 customers won’t return to a business if they face accessibility challenges. Inclusive design doesn’t just bring in new customers, it keeps them coming back.
Lost Revenue: UK businesses lose £2 billion every month by not meeting the needs of disabled consumers. That’s £24 billion a year due to avoidable barriers.
Inclusion isn’t just about supporting disabled and/or neurodivergent customers, it creates better experiences for everyone. When businesses remove cognitive, sensory, and emotional barriers, they don’t just benefit one group; they improve accessibility, comfort, and ease of use for all customers.
✔️ Clear signage and simple navigation – Helps neurodivergent people, but also benefits tourists, older adults, parents with prams, and anyone unfamiliar with a space.
✔️ Flexible booking options – Reduces stress for those managing anxiety but also supports busy professionals, families juggling schedules, and customers who prefer digital self-service.
✔️ Quiet spaces – Essential for those with sensory sensitivities, but also valuable for people managing stress, breastfeeding parents, or customers who need a break from a busy environment.
✔️ Predictable and transparent processes – Helps autistic customers navigate spaces with confidence but also supports anyone who feels anxious in new situations, such as first-time visitors or those learning a new system.
✔️ Alternative communication options – Improves accessibility for non-speaking customers, but also assists international tourists, older customers who may struggle with technology, and those with temporary impairments like a lost voice.
By embedding neuroinclusive universal design, businesses create spaces that are intuitive, welcoming, and easy to navigate for everyone, ensuring greater customer satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term success.
Inclusion isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s a smart business strategy that builds loyalty, enhances reputation, and unlocks new markets.

Hear from some of our clients
"Richie’s session was evidence based while also being brought to life with Richie’s skill for engaging learners through storytelling.
Richie shared her own experiences in a way that was meaningful, credible and full of empathy for the individuals that this training supports.
I would highly recommend Richie as an expert in her field who can engage and inspire others to make their work environments and processes much more neuroinclusive."
"When we were developing our new website for our salon and online hair colour retail it was really important to us that it was welcoming and inclusive. Richie did an amazing job for us reviewing the practical information especially on our contacts page.
She highlighted where potential clients could have worries about what to expect on the journey to the salon from station and when they arrive at the salon.
We had so many compliments from neurodivergent clients and positive feedback that they appreciate being considered.
I truly believe that this has helped everyone feel more comfortable and contributed to increased revenue."
“Richie and I have collaborated for some 3 years and share the same visions.
I would strongly recommend Seats at the Table training sessions as they blend both passion and professionalism in such vital areas of recruitment training and neuroinclusive experiences.
