Seats at the Table is delighted to share that its founder, Richmal Maybank, has been announced as a NeuroPlaces Ambassador.
This is a particularly meaningful announcement because NeuroPlaces is building something much bigger than an event. As the UK’s first B2B conference and exhibition for neuroinclusive public place design, it is creating a space where neuroinclusion is front and centre, bringing together public place operators and solution providers to help shape more welcoming, navigable and inclusive environments.
That vision strongly reflects Richmal’s own work through Seats at the Table. For many years, she has supported organisations to think more carefully about the hidden barriers that shape whether people feel able to access, enjoy and belong in a space. Across hospitality, retail, transport and live entertainment, her work focuses on helping organisations make thoughtful, practical changes that improve both customer and employee experiences.
With more than a decade of experience working alongside families, employees and businesses, Richmal has seen first hand the inequalities that still affect access to life enriching opportunities. That understanding, shaped by both lived experience and professional practice, continues to inform the work she does today.
What makes NeuroPlaces especially exciting is its clear focus on turning ideas into action. It is creating a platform where organisations can explore practical solutions, hear lived experience and expert voices, and think more carefully about how spaces can become more sensory aware, understandable and inclusive. Its wider message is an important one: designing for neurodivergent people creates better places for everyone.
Being part of the NeuroPlaces ambassador community is therefore a natural fit, and a powerful opportunity to contribute to a growing movement focused on improving public spaces for every mind.
Richmal is incredibly proud to be involved in this work and looks forward to the conversations, collaboration and positive change that will come from being part of the NeuroPlaces community.
